Walk for Water
Wednesday, June 20th 9am
Children in our sister village in Tanzania spend many hours each day walking to and from their fresh water source.
The children at Queen Victoria are going to get a sense of what it is like to carry water. The whole school will be walking to Trout Lake and returning and return to the school carrying a jug of water.
Come join us at Queen Victoria School at the corner of east 3rd and Victoria Drive on our walk for water.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
A Queen Victoria Musical: We are pleased to announce a Spring Performance of plays and skits written and performed by the talented kids of Queen Victoria school.
In the coming weeks we will pursue an interdisciplinary exploration of water, exploring the biology, ecology, geography, art, literature, mythology, social politics and history of water as part of our regular classroom instruction. The children will write and create visual images about water. This work will become the raw material for our ORIGINAL MUSICAL DRAMA.
Dress Rehearsal Performance: Friday, May 4th, 10:30am
Matinee Performance: Tuesday, May 8th, 1:30pm
Evening Performance: Wednesday, May 9th, 7:30 pm
